An ongoing research project into papier mache as architectural ornament.
The use of papier mache to create imitation stonework and plaster decoration was once widely used, but has fallen out of use. This project creates prototypes and investigates precedents for using the utopian potential of this material to create fantasy worlds unconstrained by the cost and availability of more fashionable vernacular materials.
