Homecoming

Body

A research & development project in progress using 3D scanning and architectural modelling software to explore spatial & emotional relationships between physically remote locations.  In these early prototypes I transpose tiny papier mache sculptures created whilst living in Rotterdam, back to the place where they were made - this time at giant scale, in imitation of the larger than life public art for which the city is famous. Experimenting with a visual language of haunting and grief, which grapples with the experience of migration and transitory habitation.
