A guided imagery exercise to envision possible futures. The listener is invited to journey imaginatively back in time through the iterations of one local road, all the way back to the Jurassic - and then on into the distant future. How has this road emerged from the landscape over millenia, how has it changed, and how might it look in future?
The work engages with current urban design debates, destabilising the image of modern roads as eternal and unchangeable, inviting reflection on what this route might look like in 100 or even 1000 years time.
