Open Source Séance
The Open Source Séance is a fortune-telling ritual for the modern age. Utilising a variety of digital tools - including a Wacom tablet in place of a Ouija board for producing intuitive vector drawings - a group may consult the make-believe 'oracle'. All answers to the group's questions are written by group members themselves, and free from all mumbo-jumbo (except artistic and mathematical), the ritual calculates an answer.
The Séance methodology is free software and is available for download and modification.
Developed during a residency at Variable FLOSS Arts Lab, Brussels 2013.
