Speaking @ Stammtisch, Oxford

When 8pm, 29 Nov 2012
Where Port Mahon, Oxford UK
Info Stammtisch Nov 2012

I'll be speaking at this November's Stammtisch event, organized by Oxfordshire Visual Arts Development Agency.

Artist Eleanor Greenhalgh will present recent projects exploring the dilemmas of networked publishing. From panics over copyright, to Facebook censorship and “filter bubbles”, we’ll be looking at what happens to ideas like authorship and curation in our current digital context. Eleanor will present examples of creative interventions into the online environments and tools we use every day, asking how they might be used, abused or subverted. Eleanor Greenhalgh is a fine artist and MA Networked Media student at Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam.

One of a series of OVADA Stammtisch meetings, held on the last Thursday of each month for a variety of free events including professional talks, film screenings, performances and discussions, as a regular get-together for people with an interest in contemporary art. All starting at 8pm, at the Port Mahon Pub in Oxford.
